Pontefract Castle - The Key To The North

From £49.00Sale Price

Pontefract Castle, known as 'The Key To The North' and a formidable stronghold throughout history, owned in 1399 by Henry VIII.

During the 17th century, the castle endured three brutal sieges by Parliamentarian forces and was the last Royalist castle to fall. In 1649, at the request of the local townspeople, it was partially demolished to prevent any future military use.

This is a premium quality, reproduction canvas print of my original 'Key To The North - Pontefract Castle'. This was originally hand-drawn and hand-painted using watercolour inks.

My canvases are directly printed using HP Latex printers with Latex inks. Inks are pigmented and water-based. The inks are non-hazardous, non-toxic, non-flammable inks that reduce a variety of environmental, health, and safety concerns. Inks are UL certified, GREENGUARD GOLD based on the high air quality standards used for hospitals and schools.
